my prayer got picked

I'm kind of a little excited cause the prayer I did for my Bible studies is getting used for chapel when our parents are invited to come for before Easter break.  There is a whole entire committee deciding what to use and they want to show mine. I didn't think for even a second that they would ever pick something I did. You know I am not smart about being a Christian like most of them are cause I didn't start learning in kindergarten like most of them did.   But no how they picked mine and so here it is for better or for worse.  It will get showed for quiet meditation.  I wonder if my mom or dad will go to the chapel that day. It is hard since they both work you know.

That's a very beautiful and honest prayer. It shows how much you understand emotionally about anger and what it means to be human. It's very brave to make yourself so vulnerable in front of other people.

They didn't pick me for anything.  How am I supposed to compete when I don't even believe.   I did a poster because everyone had to do something from kindergarten and up. It wasn't a big poster, just the size of a piece of printer paper and I put pictures of all the bad stuff going on in the world and in the middle I wrote Prove It.  That's just as sincere as what anyone else including Rosie did. Just kill me.

Ruby don't compare yourself to Rosie.  You both have very different roads to travel.

Rosie I loved that.  It's a beautiful prayer.

Ruby I told you that was a bad idea.  I'm sure there would have been better feedback if you had done what I said and made a poster about what you're grateful for.  You didn't have to say anything about God, just that you're grateful for things like summer days....
What Rosie, no invite for moi?

Ruby I think your prayer to prove it might be the prayer most of us have in common.

You're a good kid Rosie.  If you want me and your mom to be there, we'll be there.  We'll just hope the chapel doesn't fall down around our ears but if it does, you'll find us in the middle of the rubble.

It took you all of fifteen minutes to do, right? 
Ruby, as I've explained to you many times, you have to consider your audience.  You don't stand in the middle of a bunch of MAGA folks and shout "lock HIM up" and expect to get away from the mob without being stoned.
You don't tell a bunch of Christians that God has to prove himself and expect to get an A.
I'm sorry.  You inherited my cynicism.  It may serve you well one day but not in a Christian based school.  Play smart.

Haha!  Try again Vince.  That's Rosie sans any emotion.  That's her voice but that's not how she usually sounds if that makes sense.  She's much more dramatic than that.

No the microphone isn't very good either so it always needs clearing up and then you get something that sounds off and besides I hate my voice so much. I sound stupid all the time.
