WWJD or DBTJD

I do not want to offend nobody so I hope this will not do that since it is just me thinking and wondering or searching or something ok?
WWJD means what would Jesus do ok.
Today at brunch Ruby said something that she probably should not of said even if she did have a good point but sometimes it is better to not make a point if it will hurt somebody's feelings or something.  Mr. Smith and that is not his name but I cannot give out his name but he is Malachi's dad.  So the waitress at brunch didn't bring Mr. Smith a coffee refill when he asked for it and he didn't say nothing to her but asked a second time and he still did not get it but he did not get upset or nothing and just drank his water ok.  Ruby said to him that it was not good service and maybe she should get up and get the coffee for him.  He said to her no and then he said remember WWJD.
Ruby don't believe in none of that and she just believes in having a good meal and getting out for a little while.   Ruby said to Mr. Smith that Jesus would just take that glass of water and turn it into coffee flavored wine, get drunk and then send the waitress to Hell. 😣 He gave her a little talk about how we got to be nice to people and treat them how we want for them to treat us and how everybody has a bad day or forgets stuff. I know he did not appreciate what my sister said but he was nice about it still.
Here is the thing ok?  Ruby isn't wrong.  I don't think Jesus is going to do that but if we are supposed to treat and love each other like Jesus loves us then I think we could be in a lot of trouble. I don't know but God starts it all ok?  Like people who are starving he could give them food but he don't so if we treat people how he does then we will not feed them neither.  He just stands there and lets people lie to us and hurt us and he does nothing about it.  It has got me thinking about WWJD and maybe we got to DBTJD.
I don't know but does my thinking make sense to you?

You raise one of the great philosophical questions that vexes Christians and non-Christians alike.

If God is all-powerful and all-knowing, why do they allow so much suffering to happen?

There are a lot of ways to answer that question, some satisfying and some not so satisfying. Some say God has a plan. Some say it shows we have free will. Some say it means God isn't all-powerful. Some say it means God isn't all good. Some day it means God doesn't exist. And those answers are the tip of the iceberg.

It's a hard question with no easy answers, but it's good that you ask it and think about it. And nobody can tell you how to answer it for yourself, which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.

It's something Rosie made up and she says it means do better than Jesus did.  

Do you ever watch those NDE programs on Youtube?  It seems like the ones that aren't crazy talk about being spiritual and not religious and they talk about a loving creator and not some man dying on a cross.  Religion is just about controlling people.

But is it a God failure or a man failure?

Unless God is going to treat us like a bunch of puppets I don't think it's his failure and man's failure.  I think man can take credit for the mess we're in all by himself.  Think about it.  Who creates wars over stupid things?  Who's ruining our climate?  Who refuses to feed the poor?  I do think God gave us all that we need to create a good and fair world but I think humans are too selfish to accomplish that.

I mean, if you subscribe to the idea that it's all part of God's plan, then is there really any free will?

God's plan can be nothing more than a destination and not the journey to reaching that destination.

That's an interesting way of thinking about it.  It's not a step by step itinerary but a long term goal of getting from point A to point B and it's up to us to determine the route.

That sounds like having your cake and eating it too from an argument standpoint (i.e. you have the freedom to make as many "wrong choices" as you want until you make the "right choice"). Still not free will. But I'm bowing out of this to avoid derailing it further.

I think that depends on what you consider free will. Don't we as parents have plans for our children? I know I do. I want them to be happy and successful adults. It's the same end goal for both Liam and Amira but I'm sure the path to that goal will look different for both of them and God forbid, they may not reach that goal I have for them. Having a plan isn't the same thing as taking away free will. Maybe God wants what is best for us and knows the easiest way to get there but won't dictate how or if we will reach that want he has for our lives.
At the beginning of the school year I give my kids all the supplies they'll need to succeed and we donate supplies for those who can't afford them, it's a bookbag program the schools here have because life isn't an even playing field and the choices of others will affect those kids. What my kids and the other kids do with the supplies is their free will. They will either take advantage of the "gifts" they have and do good with them (study and learn) or they'll waste those gifts (not pay attention) but whatever choice they make, my will is still that they all succeed.

Personally, I think it's all human error.  Man has managed to twist and turn God's word so much that it's no longer recognizable, if it ever was.
