I will have to listen to them all the way thru later and maybe get the lyrics online to but I think I like his voice from just the little bit I listened to.

My favorite Robbie Williams song is Angel, but I like Go Gentle.

I finally decided on Go Gentle. Life Thru A Lens is probably a very honest description about them who think they are all that and keeping up with fads and fashion and stuff. I guess I do not like sarcasm all that much. Advertising Space just made my heart hurt so much. It is very very very sad and seems to be something somebody would only be able to write if they knew deep and hard loss. I was sort of surprised that it was wrote about Elvis Presley but it could be sung by someone who lost somebody other than Elvis or that Marlon person. It feels despairing and I don't like that. Go Gentle is more upbeat but with some stuff that maybe people fear. It is about a dad and his child where the dad is trying to teach and protect his daughter. That is more positive even if he does seem to see the unhappier stuff in life but he will be there.

I like the message of Go Gentle but I like the rawness of Life Thru a Lens more.

That was a very good analysis of the songs, Rosie!
I didn't expect Life Thru A Lens to be the most popular of the three songs, but still included it because it is the title track on his first solo album and also because I wanted a song that is a bit angry for variety. The Marlon in Advertising Space is Marlon Brando, who was a very famous actor known for example for his roles in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. He died in 2004, so not long before Advertising Space was released in 2005. Finally, Go Gentle was meant to be the upbeat choice of the three, even despite mentioning, as you wrote, the unhappier stuff in life. But that's what parents do, isn't it, trying to encourage their kids despite worrying about the negative experiences and dangers they face?
Also on the Life Thru A Lens album is the song KittyKat mentioned: Angels. It was Robbie Williams' breakthrough hit as a solo artist and may still be the most famous and well-liked of all of his songs, so I decided to keep it as a "bonus track" and only post about it later. Here is the video:

Right now only the first one is showing up and I don't know how come that is. Now they are showing up. Give me strength.
