So, as a follow-on to Aretha Franklin singing "Mary Don't You Weep" with James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir, she also recorded a gospel song with them on the Amazing Grace album called "(Let Us Go Back to) The Old Landmark" that was written in the 1940s. It follows a very typical gospel song formula call and response, with each verse changing to a different verb (let us all go back, kneel and pray, preachers preach, etc.).
The 1980 movie "The Blues Brothers" helped revive the careers of a lot of R&B singers, including Aretha, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, and James Brown. James Brown appeared as a preacher in a church service where he sang "The Old Landmark" as part of his sermon, again with James Cleveland and his choir (featuring Chaka Khan with a voice solo) with a lot of crazy choreography and acrobatics. If this doesn't set your feet to moving, check your pulse. (The movie is rated R but this bit is rated G, or perhaps PG).
Watch James Brown's footwork and see why his nickname was "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business":

The Blues Brothers is R-rated? That sounds very... 1980s.

Well, there are plenty of F-bombs and other profanity. That's about it. The violence is pretty cartoonish.

Oh, right, profanity. It has been a while since I last saw the film but I do remember that!
