My assignment thing for Bible class is to make something that will explain what faith is. First I got to figure out what faith is. What do you think having faith is? Do you think its about being in a religion or maybe just a feeling you get deep inside of you or goosebumps or what? Do you have faith?

Sure I have faith but before I tell you what I think it is, why not share with us what you think it is?

I know its like believing in something you can't see or prove neither but that is kind of a boring answer so I was hoping somebody could make it more interesting.

Faith is that feeling that supersedes logic. It's sitting next to a sick child and knowing in the depth of your soul that you aren't alone in your bedside vigil. It's talking into the darkness and knowing there will be an answer even if the darkness seems to be deafening.

For me faith is just knowing without having any way of really knowing but still knowing.

Faith is the decision to believe something you can't see, hear, taste, feel or prove.

Faith is trusting that God keeps his promises.

Faith is supposed to be a gift God sends to us but if you believe that then you also have to believe he doesn't want everyone to believe in him because not everyone gets that gift. I believe there is a God or some kind of higher power but I'm not sure if I would seek to have faith. I think having faith means you have to be gullible and I don't want to be gullible. I guess I would have to take a failing grade on this assignment. Why do teachers ask such crazy questions? My religious education teacher is always coming up with the most intense and irrelevant and unimportant, none of her business questions.

Gullible? I don't agree with that. I don't think we have to be easily fooled or swayed in order to have faith. We have to be open to something we can't see but we don't have to be so open that we believe someone when they tell us a feather fell from the wing of an angel. What makes you think you have to be gullible to have faith?

Maybe a conscious decision to be gullible? Talk about making something positive a negative. Waaayyyyy to go Tatiana.

I'm not making it a negative. I'm being very honest. Consider it for a moment. I'm a Catholic and there is a bunch of mostly old men who take vows to never have a naughty but still do if it's with a small altar boy and they want to tell me what I should believe? I'm supposed to believe their rubbish, why? I am not anti-God but I am anti-being told how I should believe by someone who needs to take a long look in the mirror.
Hey here's a good song my dad listens to. An oldie but I like it's message.

I think it takes courage to have faith in today's world.

I ended up going very simple with this so no A for me I'm sure but it is what I think of when I think of faith. I took that picture from my grandparents house last summer. I wish it looked like that out of my window right now. I need some sunshine and singing birds.

Rosie you need to start a thread and share some of the pictures you take.
