What does it mean to you to honor thy mother and thy father?

Be respectful towards them and remember that as imperfect as they may be, they gave you life and cared for you until you were able to care for yourself.

Some days it's just letting them live. 
I agree it's about respecting them and remembering they gave you life.

To obey them and respect them. I think it means to take care of them when they get old.

I think honoring them is easy cause of loving them you know?
It means doing our very best to obey them and show them respect.
It means trusting them to be doing what they know is best for us even when it might not seem like they know what is best.
It's forgiving them when they make mistakes just like they forgive us when we make mistakes.
I think it means taking care of them when they get old to cause they take care of us when were kids. I hope when my mom and dad get old like my grandparents are they will live with me and I will take care of them.
When they die like my first mom did it means praying that they are happy with God.

How about you honor them when you don't kill them for dragging your butt out of bed on the weekend.
