Who Does God Want you to be?

We all know who we are.  Maybe kind of.  We might not know who we are fully but we have ideas and maybe like titles or something that tells who we are.  Last year I had to do a project for Who Am I?  I made this thing that says I am a daughter and I am a sister and stuff like that.  My class did quilts made from construction paper and we hung them in chapel.

Now the question this year is Who Does God Want Me To Be or who do I want God to think I am?  That is a very hard question I think.  How do we know?  It's not like God will come and sit with us and have a sweet tea so I can ask him.  It's like a big guessing game.  So who do you think God wants you to be?  Who do you want God to think you are?  How would you answer that question?

This is the project my class did last year:



I had to block out my last name you know.  I don't think there is anything there to get me in trouble.  I had Ruby take this dumb crazy picture so I could sent it to my imaginary friend person to show I am not a liar and I am me.  I got is so much trouble for doing that.  Dumb thing is that imaginary friend isn't who there pretending to be.  Stupid crazy.
Any ideas what my project could be this time?

I think you might have to use scripture and answer that question generically.

I think I agree with Tati about using scripture.  All the labels that define you, find scripture that says how God wants you to fulfill those roles.

That's an old project.  You know how I know?  There's no Kimberly in your name so it's pre-adoption.    So it's at least a year old.

Ha ha my mom put glasses on me in that picture.  She's funny.
I guess I can find Bible verses about those things but any idea of how I should present it?

If you feel artsy you could make a poster or a book.

Whoever God wants me to be can't happen until I'm 16.  Mary had Jesus when she was 14 but I can't volunteer to stack canned goods to feed the poor until I'm 16.     I can have a baby but I can't put away a can of corn. 
Yes, Roseanna how long is your hair?

Do something simple this go around.  Write a letter from God to you saying Dear Roseanna, I want you to be.... or write a prayer telling God who you want to be for him.  It isn't a big part of your grade so KISS.  

Mandy, Rosie's hair is long right now.  When she goes to the bathroom she has to hold her hair so it doesn't end up in the toilet.

More than anything, kind to each other, I think. Life can be unkind a lot of times, so kindness and compassion go a long way.

I think God wants us to be true to who we are.  He gives us all our own special talents and our own special personalities.  We are God's masterpiece.  So Rosie, I believe God wants Rosie to be Rosie.
