Michael Jackson had several very inspirational songs. Inspirational in songs that stir the soul to be or do better. Here's a couple. Which one do you find more moving? I thought I did these but I guess not. Man in the Mirror. Easy.

Someone needs to help put Kim and Rob into this century when it comes to musical tastes. The first one by the Bee Gees. They lived here in Australia for a while. Did you know that? I think they were born somewhere like the Isle of Man but not positive about that. For some reason they wound up here and then they left again.

Growing up I wasn't allowed to listen to secular music. Obviously, I heard some of it at school but not a lot. All music is newish to me and Tati, I rather like the older stuff. I think the most contemporary I get is some of Madonna. My kiddos like Lady Gaga and Beyonce. Susan likes Bruno Mars and he's okay. Give me the older, sappy love songs any day of the week.

Someone needs to help put Kim and Rob into this century when it comes to musical tastes. It will never happen sweetie.

We don't really listen to secular music but my grandmother is fond of John Denver and says his songs stir her heart and touch her soul. He's not real preachy so I don't think this will break the rules about only doing God talk in the religion section. He was a secular singer and my grandmother says liked his whacky tabaccy. That makes him pretty secular. I like the songs she's had me listen to so I think she has good taste. Here are two that I really like. Which one do you like best?

I liked John Denver when I was younger. charity, he did a Christmas special with the Muppets that features some religious songs as well as secular (and some that sound relgious but were written by secular authors, like the Bob Beers "Peace Carol"). I think you would like many of the songs (and your grandmother may know of it too). Of these two I like the first one more.

I love the first one. My mom likes John Denver. I know many of his songs because of her.

I want to live. It was used at school for a so called party and I don't remember what it was called but it was to get things to donate for moms. It was prolife something.

Thanks for posting, Charity! Your grandmother seems to have a good taste in music. I like both songs, and my favourite is I Want to Live.

My Aunt Lillian LOVES John Denver. She used to tell us she cried when he died.
I want to live is my pick.
