I'm going to follow along with my daughters and say number one.

Leaving the Christmas theme for a minute , how about songs that have special meaning to a couple. Warning: Rob has very old likes. He's going to make a wonderful grandpa someday. But he's taken me on a musical journey and I've come to find I love some of the older (to us) songs. So, here are a few that we have to dance to whenever we hear it playing.
We had a very small wedding party because I was very big around the middle but this was our couples dance.
This is how I felt when I met Rob.
And this one isn't as old as the other two but it might be my favorite song for this stage of life.

Hmmm. Bobby Vinton, I guess? None of them really do much for me, and I generally like the Bee-Gees, but not that one, it's from their final album I think.

Maybe it's a woman thing because my feeling is the exact opposite of Vince's because I love them all. I've heard Remember When many times before and it's a beautiful song but it's an end of the road song. I hope I'm not there yet. Please, let me have that number 1 song experience before the number 3. But Holly is growing up so fast. Number 2 has a little of the regret that I feel in life. I wish I had given Holly a dad who could be involved in her life in a healthy way. My favorite is number 1. I'm not unfamiliar with the Bee Gees but I'm not disco generation or a disco fan and I've always put them in that category but this was anything but disco. I can see how it would be a good first dance for the new couple at their reception. I know you were pregnant but did you do the white or off white wedding dress at least? I can picture you and Rob dancing away in the kitchen. Maybe because, I want that so badly.

I want that for you too Jennifer. Keep the door open and don't lose hope. When I married Rob I wore an ugly maternity dress. The whole white dress wedding happened with my first marriage.

And I have the pictures and wedding dress to prove it. Sorry mom I'll never wear it. It's so pure and goody-goody and if I ever get married I plan on being a little naughty.

Scarlette Marie! Your mother was a beautiful bride! My favorite of the three is Remember When. I like Alan Jackson.

Remember When for me. It describes a life that is quite different from mine (30 doesn't seem so old when you get married at 28), but I do hope we'll eventually end up in a place like that. For now, though, I'm glad to still have little feet in the house.

I guess it's Wedding day but they all make my parents embarrassingly goofy.

I like the wedding song. I think it is kind of romantic.

I guess it's Wedding day but they all make my parents embarrassingly goofy. Kiddo, one day you'll know that embarrassingly goofy is a good thing for your parents to be. I've heard The Bee Gees and Alan Jackson but this is the first time I've heard this Bobby Vinton song. My Bobby Vinton exposure is pretty limited to my grandmother listening to Roses are red. I think door number two is my pick.
