If Jesus died for our sins and that paid the debt why is there a Hell?

Jesus' sacrifice is gift Rosie, a gift freely given but not everyone will accept that gift. I believe Hell is for those who do not want God and not the other way around.

Rosie you ask the hardest questions. Answer this for me, do you think actions should come with consequences? If you spend your whole life telling someone you want nothing to do with him and you break all his rules and treat those he loves poorly, would you want him to live in your home with his unchanged heart? Should Heaven be open to someone who continues to want God to be gone, to go far away? Some people will choose the wrong path and God allows that but when that person reaches the end of that path, he won't arrive at the same destination as the person who wanted God. That is about as logical as I can get on that topic.

I have a hard time believing in Hell because God is supposed to be all loving and knowing. Creating someone you know is doomed to spend eternity in Hell is the opposite of loving.

It is a hard question and God shouldn't leave us with hard questions and no answers. I think I maybe think of it more how Addy is but its something that is maybe to important to get wrong. But I guess saying it is for people who don't want to be with God is okay to except nobody is going to say that if they know God is alive and loving them. My dad don't believe in God or he says he don't believe in religion but whatever he is as hard to understand as God is.  I don't want to end up in Hell and I will be very upset with God if I do.

I have a difficult time with the concept of Hell. Growing up JW I never believed in Hell. I was taught the evil simply stay dead, cease to exist. The good will spend eternity in a paradise earth or if anointed ones will spend eternity in Heaven with God. As a Catholic convert I've been taught there is a purgatory to cleanse or pay for our sins.
I guess I'd probably have to sit on the bench with those who doubt there is a Hell.

The Bible says there's a Hell so there's a Hell and that's why it's so important for our parents to train us right.

I don't like that word train cause it makes me think of training a dog to shake hands and stuff but my Bible teacher would say the same thing that if it's in the Bible then it is true.

Actually, I plan on spending a lot of time in purgatory. I think it's like Heaven's prison.

Catholics don’t believe in Purgatory any more, especially for baptized Catholics, so you are paroled.

The Old Testament is pretty harsh.I never did buy God as a vengeful warden just looking for ways to smite us. I am much more New Testament, with its love and reconciliation. There is nothing more Christian to me than love your neighbor as yourself, but you don’t need to be Christian to relate to that. I don’t think a just and merciful God doesn’t want to embrace us, even when we are out mosr awful selves.
Jesus wasn’t sent here for the best of us, but the worst of us.

My imaginary friend from another place  said the Old Testament don't matter no more but that isn't how she said it but it is what she meant and it is the new testament that matters. You know the ten commandments are in the old testament cause they was given to Moses so maybe the commandments don't mean so much now. I don't know but she or he was only a pretend Christian so I guess that is maybe wrong. She made it sound like all you got to really do is love Jesus and like trust him and he will do the rest. I don't know. She is the one to who said the earth isn't millions of years old but my dad says it is and so does my mom and she is a teacher so she should know. Thats all.
